Burda 9486- Bomber Jacket for William

I just love how this jacket turned out. Bonus, William loves it too. I used faux leather from fabric.com it's just wonderful. It sewed up so easily. I added some length to the jacket ( 2inches) over what I would add because he's thin and use a smaller size and add length. I used a size 8 and the length of a 10. I used some pre-quilted lining I got from http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/Blue-Green-Multi-Plaid-Quilted-Cotton.html I used the plaid cotton side for the front and back, then the silky underside up for the sleeves. This goes together so easy just loved the finished jacket.

Vogue 8613- OOP Knit Dress

Made this knit dress for Judy for her family pictures. The knit I got from fabric.com a long time ago. It was a little soft for this pattern, the collar even though interfaced looked a little floppy. It's a really cute pattern and I might make it again. I usually do a FBA but with this knit I didn't bother.

Jocole's Yoga Aline skirt PDF pattern

I was lucky to get chosen to test Jocole's Patterns Yoga Aline skirt. Love this pattern it's so easy, fast and looks great on. What more could you ask for. I made 5 for one daughter and law. I've made two for another daughter in law and have one more for her cut out. Also have plans for two more in stripes. It's well drafted and takes no more than an hour to cut out and sew. Will use this pattern for years. I also included a picture of my daughter Nicole in her version made with stripes I think it's really cute.

Damask Jeans for Megan

I used Vogue 8774 and Damask Denim from Mood Fabrics. I saw Katie's blog showing her jeans she made from this fabric and ordered some that day. I'm really pleased with them. Megan has a hard time finding jeans to fit so this will be the first but not the last of this pattern. The fit was good right out of the pattern. It has a much smaller waist than RTW jeans. No Gap at the back. She thinks the bottom of the legs are to loose so will be taking them in about 1/4" down both sides from above the knee down to the hem. These run pretty short. Megan is barely 5' 5" and they are just long enough. Will add an inch next time. I made them a little snug on purpose because Megan broke her foot running on the treadmill at the gym and has put on a few extra pounds. She wants red jeans next. I lined the pocket & made the zipper protector with a polka dot cotton.Huckleberry and Finn wanted in the pictures.

Vogue Skirt 1292-Black & White Stripes

Made this Sandra Betzina skirt from Vogue 1292 for my daughter in law. I've wanted to make it since I first saw it but couldn't find a nice weight stripe knit. I saw this black and white ponte on fabric.com and had to get ASAP. It's really easy and fast to put together. I lined it with a flesh colored lightweight knit. I'll try to get a picture of Sharon in it. It was fun to sew.
